How to deal with a university exam
For a freshman, the University can present itself as a formidable challenge. Very different from the above, the University allows you to have more freedom, but also requires much more organization when it comes to the study, the attendance of courses and (of course!) exams.
Understanding how the bureaucratic apparatus know what each teacher requires from their students and prepare properly for an exam can be difficult. Here then is a small guide of experts with info and tips, from booking to the actual testing, not to make missteps in dealing with an exam.
Face the exams at the University: Book
In order to take an exam at the University is necessary to book. Today, most of the faculty provides an online portal through which students can to book exams. However, the means of entry is at the discretion of each teacher, so it can happen that a professor of the “old school” ask you to reserve by writing your name and signature on a simple sheet hanging on the door of his office. Always ask the professor to turn as you book that particular examination and do it with a minimum of advance. Remember that, usually, if you are among the first to sign up, you’ll be the first to take the exam.
Face the exams at the University: What are the exemptions?
Some professors may decide to break the final exam of their subject into several parts. In this case, you can choose to deal with every part (even book examination as seen above) and have a final vote taken extracted from the average of individual exemptions, or directly take the exam in full at the end of the course. Usually the partial are convenient for those who attend classes and serve to distinguish the professor attending by not attending.

Face the exams at the University: Attending or not attending?
It can happen that a teacher decides to establish two examination programs different from each other, one by one for attending and non-attending. Usually do not attend are required to bring a few more texts and cannot benefit from the notes taken in class. Do not make the mistake of attending, although the lessons you have no obligation to sign: the professor will notice right away by asking specific concepts explained in class and will punish you with a low rating.
Face the exams at the University: Written and Oral
There are different types of university exam: there are multiple-choice test, those open-ended questions, those that provide a written before the oral one and those that are only oral or written only. Each student has his own preferences: there are those who do best in the writings and those who prefer the oral because it is more capable in the show. In both cases, you will need to prepare well, depending on what kind of test you are going to face. The orality vote is communicated immediately to the student, who can accept or reject it. Same for the vote of a text, but will be announced a few days after the test.
